I'm at the airport right now almost too exhausted to care about whether or not it's a good idea to fly back in the midst of Storm Imogen. The flight is already delayed - it's already changed its boarding time twice now. The plan was to take the bus to the airport but then the rain came and then the wind that was making every lamp-post down our street sway and I resigned myself to the fact that a taxi might be a better/safer way to get there. I might have sulked for the most part of an hour because the journey pretty much cost me all my red pocket money I received this morning (oh! HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR to all you Asian babies!!) but now I'm here, dry and warm, and realising that if I can't manage walking to the bus stop and taking two buses in this weather then holy moly how does a plane safely fly anywhere away from here?! There are only a couple of flights that have been cancelled and they were scheduled for later in the evening. Ok no I just checked the board and the flight just after mine to Helsinki has been cancelled too. Oh lordie.. should I be afraid?? Right now I'm more afraid of throwing up from the turbulence which might follow with pooping my pants - both are equally plausible in my current state. I have never been one to have a fear of flying but I guess people change and perhaps today is my day.
So before my laptop dies and just in case (am I jinxing myself?!) things don't go so well up in the air (beyond the pooping of my pants) -- I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH <3
